This piece is the product of a visit I paid to my native country, Argentina. In San Telmo, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Buenos Aires, I took a photo of a street musician who happened to be performing some tango tunes in his bandoneon. This was so inspiring that when I return from the trip, I started painting until I created this final product you can see in this image. In the summer of 2014, I had been honored to collaborate on the Horses of Honor Public Art Program to benefit the Chicago Police Memorial Fund. My sponsor was Phil Stefani who is supportive of public art and committed to this meaningful cause. Ziggy Stardust horse was on display at the Magnificent Mile, (location of 450 North Michigan Ave).
